Is there any further internet material on the last times of Bob Marley's life that would indicate that Bob denied Selassie is God and that Bob became a Christian ?

It is universally agreed that he was baptized into the Ethiopian Orthodox Church, which requires a public profession of Christian Faith as symbolized in the Nicene Creed, that his baptismal name is Berhane Selassie (Light of the Trinity), that he died a member of the EOC in good standing, and that his funeral rites were provided by the EOC. Most biographical videos, including Rebel Music: The Bob Marley Story and Bob Marley and the Wailers: The Bob Marley Story, include footage of his Ethiopian Orthodox funeral, so you can see it for yourself.

There are some who claim that Marley may have been lying about his Christian profession of faith (e.g. to please his mother), and that he was only hypocritically fronting as a Christian while secretly remaining a non-Christian Rasta in his heart, but I do not believe he had so little integrity. Nothing about him makes me think that Marley would ever live so dishonestly.

Further more, even I could become a member of this Church and still hold my beliefs. They don't know what I am thinking. Or are they mind readers ?

You are among those who argue that Bob became a lying hypocrite, then?

Show me where Selassie say that He is not God.

On his visit to Jamaica, Emperor Haile Selassie of Ethiopia said to the Jamaican minister of education, Edward Allen, "I am a man, and man cannot worship man."

Elsewhere, his majesty said: "The Church is not merely a building. The Church is the faithful fulfillment of the Christian life and its requirements. Thus as the name applies to the building so is our heart the Church in which God dwells. After our blameless Creator was sent to this world by His Father, the hearts of all believers became the temple of God."
(Interview with Dr. Oswald Hoffmann on The Lutheran Hour: "Bringing Christ to the Nations" radio broadcast, 1968)

In this quote, his imperial majesty not only calls Y'shua the Creator, but explicitly calls Y'shua "our" Creator, i.e. the Creator of Emporer Selassie (and all other human beings).

Emperor Selassie was always referring to God as his Creator, i.e. the Creator of Selassie. His autobiography, My Life & Ethiopia's Progress, vol 1, for example, began with a "prayer to my Creator," whom Selassie calls "the Lord Almighty" and in relation to whom Selassie claims to be no more than "Your instrument."

You can find these quotes and many more like them in Karl Naphtali Phillpotts' book The Testimony of His Imperial Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie I Defender of the Faith. An audio version of the interview with Hoffmann is also available on numerous websites, including Messian Dread's.

This may be true for many Twelve Tribesmen, who seem to be Christians (at least in some sense), but it does not appear true of many other Rastas. This is one of the questions we try to explore on this forum, although not always well.

To be a Christian, one must affirm in faith all the essential tenets of Christianity: the unique Incarnation of God in Y'shua his Word; Y'shua's incarnation, suffering, death, and resurrection for the redemption, salvation, and divinization of humans; the singular essence and three Persons of the only true God; the closing of public revelation with the deaths of the Apostles; etc.

I have no objections to Rastas affirming the ancient and traditional Christian Faith as symbolized in the Nicene Creed, but unfortunately I meet very few who will.

The Nicene Creed isn't "some European business." It is based on biblical defenses of Christianity (against the pagan syncretist Arius) that were formulated in Africa (e.g. by Alexander & Athanasius of Alexandria) and is accepted by all ancient Christian traditions, including the Coptic and Ethiopian Orthodox Churches. To reject the Nicene Creed as a symbol of the true and ancient Christian faith is to reject the true and ancient Christian faith.
