Some say Haile Selassie was not a good man at all. According to them he was not very intelligent, and he made many political bad moves. I spoke with some ethiopians, and they had only bad words about their former emperor.

So: was is true about selassie? Was he a good man, or was he not so good after all, as many claim...

He certainly made some mistakes and wrong moves politically. But I think he meant well an his heart was in the right place. He may not have been the man for the job.

He was human and he did make human mistakes. Even though he was a devout Christian he did not always practice what he preached. He was a great fighter but he was known for giving bad treatment to the por and hungry. He did deliver a lot of political promises though, so there was good and bad things, just like there are with most human beings.

Well, that's interesting. LOZ is being accused of giving wrong information about rastafarianism. I wonder how many websites that deal with rastafari give wrong information about Selassie I, or at least are silent about H.I.M not looking after the poor. Talk about political correctness. Strictly spoken you could say that even Haile Selassie was walking in a babylon spirit (opressing and not looking after the poor and needy). I wonder what Jetze has got to say about this. I wonder if he gives correct information on this at the dubroom...

As I'll keep on saying some of those ethiopians with a Judas kind of collaboration the wicked colonists are responsible for giving H.I.M. a had time till his disappearance, they might be responsible too for his death"

Some of this ethiopians might be responsible for their suffering for failing to listen to H.I.M. MMM MMM

The same may be said of many monarchs in history. A good example is Tsar Nicholas II: he was an extremely devout Christian and great family man, but definitely not cut out for politics and the monarchy.

Many Russian Orthodox revere Tsar Nicholas as a martyr for the faith (since his place in the ROC was one of the reasons he and his family were executed), but he was not necessarily a wise ruler.
