| Originally,
the CRC was founded to accompany the
extended research into the phenomena of
"Christafarianism", a branch of
the Christian Industrial Complex that is in
so many ways nothing but a counterfeit of
Reggae, Christianity and Rastafari: three
topics that touch the core of this website.
The research resulted in the publication of
two books, numerous articles and countless
forum contributions.

INTRODUCTION |
| Most
people know Christafari as a so-called
"Gospel Reggae Band". But
Christafari is much more than just a group
of Christians playing Reggae Music. There is
a whole organization around the band, and
especially it's founder: "Pastor
Mark" Mohr. There is also a whole
philosophy that comes with Christafari: Christafarianism.
And, as if that was not enough allready,
there is now even a Cult of Christafarians.

| In
what arguably could be called the first
serious study of the Christafari phenomenon,
Messian Dread tells the story of his seven
yearlong research into this controversy.
He reports
from the frontline he’s been on from 2001
until 2004, studying and communicating
Christafarians on their own ground.
By
analysing publications and where necessary
getting additional information, digging
through the distractions and contradictions,
a bigger picture comes to the surface which
has never before been so clearly exposed.
From
Christafari to Christafarianism to
Christafarian, what you will find in this
heavily documented and footnoted essay is
that this carefully created culture turns
out to be an Evangelical caricature of
Rastafarian culture which puts Evangelical
and Rastafarian Christians in a totally
unnecessary state of war with each other and
amongst themselves.

In
a lenghty articly, Christafari Founder Mark
Mohr responded to the book Christafarianism.
Here you can find the complete text with
added footnotes. This is not the follow-up
for this essay, but an analysis of this
Response.
As
you will see, the Book Christafarianism has
caused Mark Mohr to change his definiton of
Rastafari. For him, a Rasta is now either a
"Selassie Worshipper" or a
Deceiver. You will see Mark Mohr giving an
"political correct apologie" to
the Deceivers for "lumping them into
the Selassie Worshippers category.
The
response reveals the mind-set of Mark Mohr,
which is explained and analysed with links
to academic studies that back this up. A
mind-set that has no problem in using
Rastafarian symbology and Christian
principals, only to transform it's meaning
into a marketing technology. Not even when
these symbologies and expressions are
admittedly not "unbiblical". Mark
Mohr still has to change the meaning of
Rastafarian symbology in order to serve his
aims.

After
eight months of research, the Center for
Research on Christ pharisees (CRC) concluded
an in-depth scrutiny of the Christafari
complex and published the results of this
investigation in a free e-book written by
Messian Dread.
THE
MYSTERY OF CHRISTAFARIANISM is a heavily
footnoted exposure of the Christian
Industrial Complex and Christafari's role in
her.
The
book contains 14 chapters and is over 200
pages long. It is a follow up for the essay
"Christafarianism" which was
published in october 2004. However, this
book is completely different.
